LeFlore County basketball ranking

Spiro's boys moved back into second place in the Journal's rankings after beating Poteau for the third time last week. The Bulldogs and Pirates have been switching places for most of the season but Spiro's win at Poteau elevated the Bulldogs to the second spot behind top-ranked Talihina.

All the other boys' teams stayed the same. In the girls' ranking, an improving Spiro team moved up to fifth with their win at Poteau. The Lady Pirates dropped to sixth while LeFlore fell to seventh.

All the county teams are in postseason action this week with the larger schools playing in district tournaments while the smaller schools move into regional play.

In the Readers' Poll, Heavener's girls and Talihina's boys are also in first. Please remember to cast your vote in the Readers' poll by Sunday at 7 p.m..
