Howe thumps Arkoma

HOWE—Howe’s boys and girls finished their regular season Tuesday with wins over Arkoma.

The girls rolled to an easy 67-13 win while the boys won, 73-31.

Shelby Brown led the Lady Lions with 13 points while Megan Brown added 10. Trey Vanhook led the Howe boys with 13 while Jared Wann added 11.

Howe's boys led 32-18 at halftime before outscoring the Mustangs, 41-13 in the second half.

Both Howe teams will be in the district playoffs this weekend. Howe’s boys play Clayton on Friday with the winner facing Smithville on Saturday.

The Lady Lions are off until Saturday when they play the winner of Friday’s game between Clayton and Smithville.
