KTC students place in HVAC contest

POTEAU--Students from the Kiamichi Technology Center – Poteau Campus’ Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning program competed in the Southeast District Skills USA Air Conditioning Troubleshooting Contest at OSU-IT in Okmulgee.

Roy Wallace of Hackett won fifth place and Andy Linton of Hartford won sixth place in the adult student division. Barney Green is the instructor for Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning program at KTC.

Skills USA is a national nonprofit organization serving teachers and high school and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations. It was formerly known as VICA (Vocational Industrial Clubs of America).
