The Lady Pirates geared up
for their regional opener Wednesday at Noble with the 9-7 win over Muldrow on a
day that felt more like the opening game than the final one.
Poteau jumped to an early 5-2 lead, allowed Muldrow to tie the game before
jumping back ahead by four runs by scoring two each in the third and the fourth.
Muldrow managed to score two more runs in the top of the fifth but the Lady
Pirates silenced the visitors over the final two innings.
