Lady Wolves in TOC

A tough field awaits Heavener in the Eastern Oklahoma State College Tournament of Champions which is held Jan. 7-9 at the Expo Center at McAlester.

The undefeated Lady Wolves (5-0) have a difficult opener again Vinita Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Vinita is the defending Class 4A state champions, are undefeated at 7-0 on the season and ranked fourth in the state.

The winner of the Heavener and Vinita game faces the winner of the Jenks and Indianola game which tips off the tournament at 4 p.m. Jenks is 4-3 and 14th in 6A while Indianola is 12th in Class A and 9-3 overall.

On the other side of the bracket, Del City, 14th in 6A and 3-4 in 6A opens against Silo.

Coweta, 6-2 and fourth in 5A opens with Moss, the third-ranked school in Class B and 12-0 overall.
