Edna Barnes

POTEAU—Edna Barnes, 73, of Poteau, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2010, in Fort Smith. She was born Oct. 1, 1936 at Poteau and was a caregiver and homemaker.

Services are Monday at 10 a.m. at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau. Rev. Roger Mattox will officiate the service. Interment is at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau. Arrangements are under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.

Survivors are a granddaughter, Misty Ballard of Poteau; a grandson, Aaron Smith of Fort Smith; great-grandchildren August Raelene House and Layton Christain Smith; a sister, Eva Maye Zahner; brothers Pete Irvin of Texas and Charles Irvin of Louisiana.

Pallbearers are Tim Gullick, Mike Ballard, B.J. Barnes, Jeff Pivison, Marlon Dixon and Alonso Jiminez. Honary pallbearer is Tony Stacy.
