PKMS 7th
team almost makes state
TULSA—The
Poteau seventh-grade academic team barely missed out on a trip to the state
tournament here Saturday in an academic meet.
 The PKMS students won three games, lost in a tiebreaker in another and fell to
Roland with a trip to the state meet on the line.
Poteau downed Stilwell “B”, lost to Riverside in a tiebreaker, beat Checotah’s
“A” team and Berryhill before losing to Roland.
The academic advisor is Patricia Morris. Team members are Chase Brooks, Blake
Dillard, David Kuck and Connor Bandy. Scorekeepers on the trip were eighth-grade
students Celosia Johnson and Kristin Kirkendoll.
