Pocola girls headed to state

Pocola finished second in the regional tournament and is headed to the state tournament.

Colbert won the regional tournament while the Lady Indians were second. Pocola opened with a 16-6 win over Hartshorne.

Colbert downed Liberty and edged Pocola, 11-5. Hartshorne downed Liberty but Hartshorne routed the Lady Miners, 17-2, in a three-inning run rule win.

The tournament was played in bad wind conditions with the wind blowing some 25-30 MPH.
