Poteau Christmas Parade Winners

POTEAU—Winners have been announced for the 2009 Poteau Christmas Parade held on Saturday.

The weather was chilly, but no rain. The parade lasted over an hour and there were over 80 registered entries this year, plus several last that joined in the line-up last minute.

Bands

1. Poteau High School Marching Band

The OK Stars, Wes Fowler, Chelsea Shepherd, Mkayla Wood, Baylee Davis,and Poteau High School Sliver Steppers provided pre-parade entertainment for the large crowd gathered downtown. Jack Denny provided the sound equipment and Elite Trailer Sales of Spiro furnished a trailer.

The Poteau Chamber would like to thank them along with the Poteau Police Department and Poteau Fire Department,  along with KPRV and Leroy Billy for the live remote.

They also appreciate the Poteau and Heavener Schools for delaying game time until after the parade.
