down Muldrow, Checotah
CHECOTAH—Poteau
bounced back from its 10-inning loss to Latta on Friday to win two games at
Checotah Saturday afternoon, beating the hosts and Muldrow.
The Pirates downed Muldrow, 12-7, and had a run-rule win over Checotah, 9-1.

Oliver had a huge day in the two games. After striking out in his first at bat,
Olliver had seven straight hits, including four doubles and drove in three runs.
Garrett Klutts, now 2-1, got the win over Muldrow, pitching five innings and
striking out seven before Blake Roley finished the game.
In the second game, Wilson
Klutts (3-0) threw a complete game and struck out eight to get the win.
Poteau’s next game is Tuesday at Stilwell.
