Heavener, Spiro split again

HEAVENER—Heavener’s girls kept their streak alive while the boys could not overcome a big deficit entering the fourth quarter.

The Lady Wolves improved to 14-2 on the season with a 52-35 win while Spiro’s boys nearly lost a 12-point lead entering the fourth quarter before holding on for a 61-56 win.

In the first game, Heavener struggled at times and had trouble putting away the Lady Bulldogs in their third meeting of the season.

Taylor Collins led the Lady Wolves with 21 points while Skylar Cooper added 17.

Alonzo Releford dominated the inside in the second game, scoring 24 points for Spiro. Koda Glover led the Wolves with 22.
