Spiro falls to Sallisaw

SPIRO—Sallisaw’s boys hit a basket at the end to win while the Lady Diamonds cruised to an easy win over Spiro’s girls.

Spiro’s boys lost, 54-53, while Sallisaw’s girls won, 48-25.

In the second game, Spiro fell behind late but had a shot at the end by Elliot Hawkins from near midcourt which hit the rim and bounced away. Mike White led Spiro with 17 points. Shane Thompson had 13 while Hawkins had 11.

Sallisaw’s girls opened with a 19-4 run and Spiro could never recover. Bethany Lashley led the Lady Bulldogs with eight points.
